Matt Woods

I am a science graduate and have worked in science communication my whole career. For over 20 years I have been a freelance shooter producer and predominantly worked for large corporations, government and research institutions.

I am a skilled film and video maker and am equally comfortable working behind a desk investigating a story or on a cattle station in the outback using a camera.

My driving enthusiasm in production is getting to the bottom of a story and then using video to tell that story in the most engaging and entertaining way possible.

I focus on meticulous production management, ensuring each stage of the process is as creative, efficient and cost effective as possible.

TAILORED SOLUTIONS

Pre-production

By getting the detail right in pre-production, it gives a video the best opportunity to realise its potential. This phase includes investigating, deciding on production style, writing a script, organising locations and scheduling.

Production

The production phase is where all footage is filmed, voice overs, presenters and music are recorded. Depending on the project, Cultivate will have soundtracks written and performed by professional musicians specifically for each project.

Post-production

Post-production is the phase where all the material comes together. This phase involves editing, motion graphics, animation, sound mixing and mastering.

Investigation

Journalistic investigation and understanding the evidence is a critical component of good story telling. I am an experienced investigator and prioritise getting facts right above everything else.
